The Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Robert Menendez, spoke at the Acropolis Museum during an event organized by the "Greece 2021" Committee in the context of the Forum "Greece in 2040".
Mr. Robert Menendez is a distinguished American lawyer and politician. He has been serving as a United States Senator for New Jersey since 2006. Since 2021 he has held the position of Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, actively shaping his country's Foreign Policy.
A longtime supporter of Greek positions in and outside of the American Parliament, Mr. Menendez has undertaken essential initiatives such as the East Med Act, the adoption of a bilateral U.S. Senate Resolution on the Bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, the promotion of Greece's strategic collaboration and affiliation with the U.S., and recently, he appealed to the U.S. authorities to offer further assistance to Greece in dealing with the devastating fires.
