On Saturday, May 12, a delegation of the "Greece 2021" Committee led by its President, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, visited the Prefecture of Karditsa and met with institutions implementing significant projects and events for the 200th anniversary of the Revolution.
The first stop of the tour was Lake Plastira, where the Committee delegation met with the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Costas Agorastos, and the Mayor of Lake Plastira, Panagiotis Nanos.
The Committee delegation then went to Mavrommati, a place associated with the hero of the Revolution, Georgios Karaiskakis. The President of the Committee laid a wreath at the statue of the great fighter of 1821.
At the city of Karditsa, the President was welcomed by the Mayor of Karditsa, Vasilis Tsiakos, in the presence of Minister of Justice and Karditsa MP, Costas Tsiaras, and the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Costas Agorastos.
