The anniversary projects and events carried out under the auspices or with the "Greece 2021" Committee's logo and included in the National Program of Anniversary Projects and Events continue through the second fortnight of September. Among them: lectures, exhibitions, workshops and conferences, student competitions and educational activities, music and theater performances in Greece and abroad.

The projects and events of September 16 to 30th in detail:

• Paliggenesia (Rebirth)

It concerns enlightening material on the main event (contemporary folk oratorio) of the Region of Central Greece entitled "Paligenesia" (Rebirth) - The 1821 Revolution in Roumeli by the composer Dimitris Maramis narrated by Grigoris Valtinos and performed by Kostas Makedonas.
It is organized by the Region of Central Greece and started on July 1 in Lamia. On July 22 it will be in Chalkida, July 24 in Amfissa, and September 16 in Livadia. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• International Scientific Symposium entitled "Liberated Greece and Classical Antiquity (1821–2021)"

The Institute of Classical Studies of the University of Graz, in collaboration with the Archäologiemuseum Eggenberg, organizes an international scientific symposium entitled "Das befreite Griechenland und die klassische Antike / Liberated Greece and classical antiquity (1821-2021)" on 16-18 September 2021. The symposium is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Greece in Austria. It is the sole conference on the Greek Revolution, Philhellenism and the research of classical antiquity organized by archaeological institutions in Austria. At the same time, a temporary exhibition relating to the symposium is organized, which will highlight characteristic aspects of the Greek Revolution, such as the education at the time, the initiators of the Liberation Struggle, the decisive battles, the contribution of Philhellenism as well as the Greek landscape before, during and after the Revolution.

• 1821-2021 The vision of the women of Roumeli and their contemporary prospects

A conference that highlights the history of Dorida and the critical role it played during the Greek Revolution (Makrigiannis, Athanasios Diakos, Skaltsodimos, etc.). Distinguished speakers will highlight the crucial role of peasant women who worked hard amidst perils and difficulties while raising children and contributing to the income of their homes and our country's economy from 1821 to today.
The Cultural Association of Lidoriki organizes it on September 18. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• Educational Innovation Pole (Information and Communication Technologies)

The educational activity includes a multipurpose venue where the beneficiaries (pupils, students, teachers, and citizens of all ages) have the opportunity to contact technology and educational innovation. A competition is being developed within the framework of the event, where students of all schools of the Municipality of Kozani, as well as students of the University of Western Macedonia, are invited to contribute voluntarily to an electronic application, their inspired, imaginative, and creative ideas towards the transformation of the Municipality of Kozani into an innovative Municipality.
The winners of the competition will be announced on September 18. The event is under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• Monument at the Castle of Gramvousa

Inauguration event, the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the fighters of 21.
The Municipality of Kissamos organizes it on September 18. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• "The social reformations of the 20th century and their impact on Western Macedonia"

With "TOTTIS - BINGO" as the Committee Action Sponsor, the Society of Human Studies of Florina, in collaboration with the Municipality of Florina, organizes a Scientific Conference entitled: "The social reformations of the 20th century and their impact on Western Macedonia". Twenty-six University Professors from all over the country and different scientific humanities fields participate in the event. The Conference is directed to graduate students, postgraduates, Ph.D. candidates, Ph.D. students, academic professors, everyone whose scientific interests relate to the conference topic and in particular: a) History: Crises, international relations, geographical boundaries and borders, identities. b) Education: Integration of curricula, evaluations, textbooks, language. c) Law: Revisions of Constitutions, Legal Acts, Civil Law. d) Society: Economy, migration, politics, religion. e) Arts and Culture: Folk art, museums – collections, architecture, sports, nutrition, music – dance, photography, cinema. Attendance will be open to the general public. Applicable certificates of attendance will be handed out. After the conclusion of the Conference, the Society will publish a scientific Minutes Tome. The conference will begin in the multiuse hall of the Municipality of Florina.

• The Museum Goes to School

The War Museum implements the event "The Museum Goes to School" with the support of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, K.E.D.E.
The primary purpose is to preserve the national historical memory in cities and islands of Greece situated far from the War Museum of Athens and its Branches. The exhibition includes historical material of the Revolution not limited to the Greek view of history but also extends to decisive global factors – emblematic figures that determined the evolution of the Revolution.

The aim is to transport selected historical exhibits from the War Museum to the students of schools in cities of rural areas, and in the next stage, to the students of schools on small islands. The implementation of the project includes accommodation - development of the exhibition in emblematic areas of the city with a presentation to students, watching a short visual material as well as a demonstration - a revival of relics through modern technology (augmented reality).
It is organized by the War Museum of Athens on September 20 and will last until the end of the year. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• 1821 through philately

Week-long exhibition/event with a sizable number of Greek and foreign stamps about the Greek Revolution of 1821. More relevant stamps will be issued by the Hellenic Post and added to the exhibition in the following days. At the same time: The Municipal Radio "Communication 94fm" will dedicate its program to broadcasts with historians and scholars, while the Municipal Library will present a relative bibliography. The stamps will be fully categorized into sections that will highlight many aspects of the Greek Revolution. For the presentation of the material, custom-made panels will be provided by the Hellenic Post (E.L.T.A.), free of charge.
The Municipality of Neo Iraklion organizes it from September 20 to the end of the year. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• The trial of Theodoros Kolokotronis

The purpose of the event is to highlight the historical and legal significance of the trial of Th. Kolokotronis, D. Plapoutas, etc., on charges of conspiracy against the King. The trial lasted from April 16, 1834, to May 26, 1834, was held in the Turkish mosque of Nafplio, the current Parliament. Lectures will be held on September 23 in the Garden of the Byzantine and Christian Museum on the historical and political context of the trial, with emphasis on the identity of the newly established Greek state, the political agitations that divided the people, the role of foreign powers, but also the powerful interventions of the political power in the implementation of the law. The pillar of the event will be the dramatization of the most important scenes of the trial which will take place at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on October 7.

• 9th Panhellenic Festival of Inclusive Culture DEAF AND HEARING IN ACTION

Within the Inclusive Culture Festival framework, in addition to actions that improve the living conditions of People with Special Needs and people with limited opportunities, recreational and educational activities are carried out for anyone interested regardless of mental, emotional, or physical disabilities. This year's actions are basically cultural, emphasizing the Greek Revolution, and bear the title "Cultural Paths of Freedom." The activities concern a walk/tour of cultural content or a digital tour of 9 cities and specifically: Chania, Chios, Maroneia, Thassos, Thessaloniki, Litochoro, Preveza, Nafplio, and Athens. • 200 years since the Greek Revolution – Days of the Sea 2021

A music and dance tribute to the anniversary of the 200 years since the Revolution of 1821. Traditional dances and songs from the areas where the Greek Revolution was set ablaze will take place on Thursday, September 23 at 20:00 in the courtyard of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.
It is organized by the UNESCO Branch of Piraeus and the Islands. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• The Enlightenment and Education in Ioannina

An international conference entitled: The Enlightenment and Education in Ioannina will take place on September 24-26, 2021, at the Cultural Multiplex "D. Hatzis" by the Municipality of Ioannina.

• Kalamata 2021 - Commemorative cultural events

An extensive series of cultural activities are dedicated to the 200th anniversary organized by the Municipality of Kalamata and the Public Benefit Company of the Municipality of Kalamata "F.A.R.I.S." It includes dance festivals, theatrical performances, operetta, and an art exhibition. The painting exhibition (of Ch. Bokoros) will run from September 24 to October 31.

• 1821-2021... through children's eyes

Under the auspices and sponsored by the Committee's Action Sponsor the "M.E.V.G.A.L. S.A." company, the Association of Parents of Primary & Secondary Education of the Municipality of Chalkidon will hold an event at the Military Museum of Balkan Wars "T.O.P.S.I.N.," on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 6.00 pm, on the October 1912 occurrences at the Villa Modiano. The event includes songs recited by Mrs. Fotini Dara, accompanied by the distinguished pianist Mr. George Papachristoudis, followed by the dramatization of the negotiations. Ten uniformed horsemen will present the events in today's Military Museum of the Balkan Wars and led to the liberation of Thessaloniki. An award ceremony will follow for the students of the painting, poetry, literature, digital material competition, and a tour of the Museum. A well-known miniature collector with his exhibits will also participate. The artistic coordination is by Mr. Vasileios Nikoltsios Colonel E.A.-Pharmacist, Director of the Hellenic Pharmaceutical Museum, Special Advisor to the War Museum of Thessaloniki.

• The Battle of Perachora

A music and dance performance that takes place in the context of the projects and events of the Region of Peloponnese for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution and focuses on the historic Battle of Perachora. The event covers the period 1803-1827 and presents dances and songs from Souli, Roumeli, Messolonghi, Arcadia, and Perachora, with the participation of 70 dancers from the Association of Loutrakiotes-Perachorites "Ibykos" and a live music quintet music. There will be a relevant historical analysis of the events of the specific period in the area alongside the performance of the dances and songs with the simultaneous screening of audiovisual material.

• The Battle of Perachora

Production of an original symphonic piece for Philharmonic Orchestra, choir, two soloists, and narrator by the distinguished music composer Spyros Prosoparis. Concert presentation by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Loutraki in the context of the celebrations of the anniversary, digitization, and filming.
The Municipality of Loutraki-Perachora organizes it on September 26. Under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee.

• Kythera and '21

To explore aspects of the Revolution of 1821 related to the island of Kythera, the Society of Kytherian Studies hosts lectures on a variety of topics: the practices of the British administration and aspects of the British point of view towards the Greek Revolution through archival documents of the ample Historical Archive of Kythera, since Kythera along with the other Ionian islands were under British Protection at the time; information on the refugees from revolutionary Greece to Kythera and Antikythera during the period of the revolt and later, as well as to the migration of the Kytherians; the way the Kytherians experienced the Revolution of 1821 as it appears through archival documentation of the time, including those of European travelers and painters who depicted Kythera and the Ionian Islands during the revolutionary period.

• Animasyros 2021 – International Animation Festival

Animasyros has been taking place for the last 14 years in Syros. It is structured in three pillars: The film screenings of animated films, the informal education programs for children, adults, people with disabilities & older people, and the professional market. Today Animasyros is the most prominent animated festival in Greece and one of the 20 most important globally. This year, it takes place once more in the form of phygital, both with online screenings and in person, on September 22 to 26. The festival's theme is "Eleftheria" (Freedom), inspired by the Greek Revolution and aiming at the promotion of Greek History and as a piece in the puzzle of World History. • Scientific workshop on The power of the fighters

The Psychiatric Clinic of the 251 Air Force General Hospital, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution and inspired by the principles and ideals of the anniversary, is organizing an online scientific workshop on the subject: "The Power of the Fighters," on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 09:00. The purpose of the workshop is to honor the spirit of the Fighters by illuminating the mental strength and courage of a human that leads him to acts of utmost transcendence. The speakers will delve deeper into the cultural and intellectual characteristics of people inspired by the institutions and historical examples of our Nation and, in turn, encourage modern fighters in various fields of everyday life. In the framework of the clinic's collaboration with the Hellenic Cancer Society and the Benaki Museum, the President of the Hellenic Cancer Society will also participate, and videos from the Benaki Museum's anniversary exhibition entitled "1821 Before and After" will be shown. • Construction and installation of a monument in Illinois - Inauguration of the construction and installation of a monument

In honor of the American philhellenes, the American Philhellenes Society, in collaboration with the Municipality of Aurora, will carry out the design, construction, and installation of a monument, approximately 7.5 meters in height, in a square of the Municipality of Aurora, Illinois, U.S.A., which will be renamed Republic Square.
The monument was installed on the site on May 29, and the inauguration will take place on September 25, 2021. The event is under the auspices and support of the "Greece 2021" Committee, and the monument has the name of the "Greece 2021" Committee engraved alongside those of the other sponsors.

• Workshop: Ottoman rule and Viannos

The Board of Directors of the Vlahakeios Cultural Center, on the occasion of the celebration of the 200 years since the Revolution of 1821-1830, organizes a workshop in which presentations will be made, and essential historical elements will be presented on the contribution of the extensive region of Viannos to the liberation struggles against the Turks. All the presentations with the related historical material that in many cases will be presented for the first time are going to be included in an anniversary volume-book so that future scholars and researchers have direct access to historical knowledge while making it a reference and research point for those who wish to study the history of Viannos during this historical period.

• Greek Lifesaving Sports Association Cup 2021

The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association organizes the "Greek Lifesaving Sports Association Cup 2021" on September 26. The games are dedicated to the Republic of Haiti, the first country that recognized the liberation struggle of Greece in 1821 and sent young people to fight on the side of the Greeks. The event includes swimming and rescue competitions, the participation of Greek and Haitian lifeguards, the honoring of the Haitian Rescue Federation, and a demonstration of the simulated rescue competition (S.E.R.C.) re-enacting the sea wreck of the 100 Haitians. On the occasion of the celebration of the 200 years since the establishment of the Greek state, the commemoration of a group drowning, as a result of the support shown by a feeble and recently liberated nation to a people fighting for its own independence, has a significant symbolism in sports, public health, culture, defense, education.

• Ioannis Kapodistrias, international diplomat, Greek Governor

The original play by Ioanna Berthoud-Papandropoulou, professor at the University of Geneva, presents Kapodistrias' journey, from his significant contribution to the Constitution of Switzerland to his election as Governor of the Greek State and his assassination. The scenes take place in European cities of the 19th century with the participation of historical personalities, such as Tsar Alexander I, Metternich, Roxandra Stourtza, Eynard, a loyal friend, a Swiss philhellene and benefactor of Greece, and the Greek heroes Al. Ypsilantis, Th. Kolokotronis and Petrobey Mavromichalis.
The first performance was given on June 6 in Lausanne. The next one, by the Greek Theatre of Geneva, will take place in Geneva in September27-29. On November 17-18, the play will be performed in Germany/Solingen. With the "Greece 2021" Committee's logo.

• Lecture on "Konstantinos Broumidis" - Scheduled lecture with Michalis Servos as the speaker

• Greek Revolution and the Asia Minor Hellenism

Scientific conference (workshop) aspiring to highlight the participation and contribution of the Orthodox Greeks of Asia Minor to the Greek Rebirth, with particular reference to the Turkish-speaking Orthodox Greeks of Asia Minor. The conference's works are taking place in two sessions: the first examines the aspects of the Greek Revolution in Asia Minor, while the second aims to highlight the relevant archival and other prime sources. The conference takes place on September 30, 2021.
