The President of the "Greece 2021" Committee, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, attended the inauguration of the project "USA-Greece: 200 years of innovation," which is implemented by the Non-Profit Organization SciCo (Science Communication), funded by the U.S. Embassy in Athens and under the auspices of the "Greece 2021" Committee, in the Serafio venue of the Municipality of Athens. It is an interactive Escape Room, which encourages the visitors to explore the common scientific history of the two countries and eventually "escape" using their knowledge.
"At the Committee, we strove to give a unique identity to this anniversary, initiating a conversation today by using the issues and challenges of the 21st century. We want to remember 2021 as a year during which we honored the two centuries of modern Greece and as a milestone for the future," stressed Mrs. Angelopoulos. "When the Greeks are united, they can perform miracles," she continued and referred to the opportunity presented by the bicentennial of the Revolution of 1821; for Greece to re-establish itself in the international community as a modern, progressive state. In this context, she emphasized the intangible legacy of the anniversary, the collaborations and synergies that evolved, stressing that it is the only means to move forward.
