"Greece 2021" Committee President, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, began her speech at the ceremony for the "Acknowledgement of the Sponsorship Program Members and the Committee's Work Completion Report" with Euripides' words from "The Suppliants," "nothing ends until it is spoken." "At the end of the journey," as the anniversary year ends, "we feel that we have to describe things the way they happened," pointed out Mrs. Angelopoulos and presented the Committee's approach and work.
"From the first moment of our operation, we had set as goals to achieve maximum participation from the society in the program we coordinated, to hold projects and events everywhere in Greece and in as many other countries as possible, wherever Greek women and men live, to spread the events throughout the entire anniversary year and, above all, not to promote just celebrations or commemorative events, but to procure and develop projects and events that leave a legacy to the future. Not only as far as buildings and infrastructure are concerned, but also as far as attitudes, mentalities, and ways of thinking. All these goals were achieved," she professed.
